Blunders
Fast-forwarding ads: DISABLED
Since there are tools that let you skip advertisements on various networks, advertisers are now getting frustrated because their message is not being conveyed to the “people.” However, according to this article, COX has signed a deal with ABC and ESPN which disables this feature for certain devices.
I think this is another example of forced [...]
Viral marketing blunders
CNN Money published an interesting list today regarding the dumbest moments in business. It’s interesting to see how many blunders are centered around viral marketing. This only goes to show why traditional marketeers should not be responsible for new-age marketing without consultation.
I’m Back!
I have been busy for a while, but now I am back after almost 3 weeks of hectic schedules! Anyway, some stories that may be quite interesting:
Teacher convicted for porn ‘exposure’; blames spyware.
I think that this is one of the worst court cases I have seen in a while and this only indicates how ‘dumb’ [...]

Often times, I like to type in software names in Google, just to see if there are any new resources. Well, today I came across something very interesting. Today (12/14/2006) when I google’d in Photoshop, Adobe was advertising Adobe Photoshop 7.0, where as ALL other links, including Warez stores were promoting Photoshop CS2. Take a [...]
CBS….oops!
“The news staff at a Baltimore TV station was left with egg on its collective face when the station broadcast — at least twice on Monday — a report that Michael Richards had appeared in blackface at a celebrity roast for Whoopi Goldberg over the weekend. The staff of WJZ-TV, a CBS affiliate, had picked [...]
IMDB Typos
Lately, it appears as if the quality of IMDB postings has been decreasing continiously. Usually, I don’t pick on typos, but since IMDB is one of the most visited websites, they should at least spend a minute or two to cross-check their spelling. Click on the thumbnail to see the typo.
